== Overview ==
A promotion is a permanent upgrade for a [[Vocation|vocation]]. Along with a new title, promoted players gain enhanced regeneration, reduced death penalties, and access to promotion-specific [[Spells|spells]]. <br>

Promotions can be purchased from the following royal figures and authorities:
* King Tibianus III of Thais
* Queen Eloise of Carlin
* Emperor Kruzak of Kazordoon
* Grand Vizier Ishebad of Ankrahmun
* Emperor Rehal of Beregar
* Rotem Valos of the Adventurers' Guild

The cost for a promotion is [[Gold Coin|20,000 gp]]. To get a promotion players must meet the following requirements:
* The account must be a Premium Account.
* The character must be level 20 or higher.
* Once purchased, a promotion is permanent. 

However:
* If the premium time expires, the promotion and its benefits are suspended until premium time is renewed.
* If a character drops below level 20, the promotion remains active. However, Rooking a character will remove both the players vocation and the promotion status.

== Benefits ==
Promoted characters will receive a new title:
* [[Druid|Druids]] become [[Druid|Elder Druids]]
* [[Knight|Knights]] become [[Knight|Elite Knights]]
* [[Paladin|Paladins]] become [[Paladin|Royal Paladins]]
* [[Sorcerer|Sorcerers]] become [[Sorcerer|Master Sorcerers]]

Promoted characters experience a reduced death penalty, losing 30% less experience and skills upon death. Item drop rates remain unaffected.<br>
Additionally, promoted characters regenerate health and mana faster, as shown in the table below.

Promoted characters also receive an additional 100 soul points and regenerate them at an increased rate: 1 per 15 seconds, compared to the standard 1 per 2 minutes for non-promoted characters.

Promoted players can also learn new [[Spells|spells]] unique to their promotion:
* Elite Knights - Challenge
* Royal Paladins - Divine Dazzle
* Elder Druids - Wild Growth
* Master Sorcerers - Conjure Wand of Darkness
