Desert is a custom map. You can access it by entering Thais depot and go down a floor there you will find a teleport.
In Desert you can find the Secrets of Apherumes Quest.
Creatures that can be found here: Bug, Dragon, Lich, Spectre, Dragon Lord, Nightmare, Destroyer, Betrayed Wraith, Defiler, Hellfire Fighter, Lost Soul, Phantasm, Fury, Plaguesmith, Dark Torturer, Hand of Cursed Fate, Blightwalker, Son of Verminor, Demon, Hellhound, Undead Dragon, Juggernaut.
